DHINAWAN Dreaming offers cultural workshops to schools , preschools, universities(following NSW Aboriginal Education Policy guidelines ) and various organisations and corporate .
A great cultural teacher, Dhinawan has previously worked in many different schools and universities and definitely has a magic connection with students of all ages. Aboriginal storyteller, painter and dancer, Dhinawan loves educating the new generation and wants to make sure his Native Culture is kept alive, as it has been for thousand of years.
Children and teachers will have more of an understanding of Aboriginal Culture through entertainment and educational workshops:
1. Introduction Workshop
Learn the beauty of Aboriginal Culture through Didgeridoo games, songs and dances. All ages
Time: one hour
Cost: $420
2. Storytelling Workshop
Listen to Dreamtime Stories accompanied by the Didgeridoo. Get an understanding of Aboriginal People’s many laws, life and ways.
Time: One hour
Cost: $ 420
3. Bush Tucker & Bush Medicine Workshop
Discover the Native Bush and its intrinsic virtues.
Time: 60-90 minutes
Cost: $520
4. Art & Mural Workshops
Get everyone involved and produce a piece of Art! Paint a canvas or a mural while listening and learning Dreamtime Stories. Learn about symbols and tracks.
Time: 2 hours minimum- depends on Art size.
Cost: $ 520 (2 hours). Mural painting should be discussed.
5. Boomerang throwing Workshop
If you have the space, you can be trained to throw a boomerang and make it come back! Minimum age required: 5 years old.
Time: 2 hours
Cost: $ 520
All Workshops can be designed for any age group (exc Boomerang Workshop.) Please note that prices do not include travel costs.
